The development of this Honkai Star Rail character presented several unique challenges during the design and manufacturing phases. We aimed to create a helmet that fits comfortably and securely on an adult head while maintaining a proportionate appearance. This consideration was particularly crucial, given that Screwllum is a robot in the game, rather than an individual in a mechanical costume.

The helmet is designed to open at the back and features a flexible neck section. In response to customer requests, we developed two types of eyes: one featuring clear plexiglass and another incorporating LEDs. To facilitate this versatility, we designed the entire faceplate as an interchangeable component, secured in place with magnets. Two magnets located on the underside serve as a detachable connection point for the LED system, which can be controlled via a switch panel. Additionally, the built-in side fans are intended to keep the wearer cool during extended periods of use. The monocle also connects via a magnetic ring and is compatible with both faceplate options.
